I was the “husky” kid growing up. So I know exactly how you feel! All through those cruel teen years I battled my weight. I loved food, but not the healthy kind. When I was growing up there were always yummy treats in the house that I simply couldn’t resist. And it showed!
My self-esteem was shot. Food was my best friend. In a nutshell my teenage years were brutal. So after years of being “the fat kid”, I decided to MAKE A CHANGE!
My health and body image didn’t get better for me until my early 20s. And only after I discovered that gym memberships simply don’t work.

Shocking, huh? But it’s true.
My Name is Steve Krebs and at one point in my life I weighed almost 300lbs. My battle with weight started at the age of 9 years old, I was always “the husky or fat kid”.
At my heaviest I struggled with depression, low self-esteem, lack of energy, a negative mindset, and I had ZERO self-confidence. The mere thought of putting on a swimsuit in front of otherpeople would trigger an anxiety attack.
Through years of hard work, education, and dedication I transformed myself from fat kid to fitness pro and I am now a Marcy personal trainer in the New York area!

I have gone to many fitness facilities in the area over the past several years. After working out at those facilities along with dieting, I saw little results. I joined Next Level Beach Body Boot Camp in March 2009 and have seen wonderful results. (Watch the video to find out how much weight and body fat I’ve lost!)

Obviously my experience with Next Level is nothing less than amazing. I’ve been coming now for about one year and four months. My experience there is awesome – it’s the things I need to do on my own that I struggle with.
I know it might not seem like I appreciate all you guys do, but if I didn’t I wouldn’t keep coming back. I mean, I have not had this much success with my back pain alone since I injured it in January 2009 – I have literally lived with pain every day since then. Of course it would come and go and be worse at times and not so bad at other times, but persistent and consistent none-the-less. Since I started talking to you about the issues I was having and actually admitted that I might need help with it other than what I had been doing, which was obviously not working, I have had little to no pain at all! There will still be the occassional muscle spasm but the shooting nerve pain that went down my legs is GONE and the spasms do not last nearly as long and are few and far between. And yes, I”ll give you this one, you do know what you are talking about and what you are doing.
I also have not felt so good. Ever. In my life. I’m not someone who has ever been physically active, I was never into sports or anything that involved getting sweaty and involved me exerting energy that I just didn’t have.
I also have to say that my depressive symptoms have also decreased dramatically. I sleep better, function better during the day and finally have a healthy stress release. (I do this for a living and say these things to my clients all day long, “if what you’ve always done isn’t working, do something different…” “find healthy ways to relieve stress…” blah blah blah – but do you think I’ve ever taken my own suggestions before!?!?) I don’t know why I do some of the things that I do, but I know that Next Level has helped to motivate me to do things that I never knew my body, mind or spirit was capable of doing. There are days when I am pushed to my limit at work – then I come in to Next Level and push myself to my limit there but in a different way and there are moments when I think I can’t do it. I am wrong. I do what you tell me to do. I turn my mind off and go. I am capable of things that even after I do I can’t believe I did.
The things I still need to work on are my nutrition and my discipline with that. I have a problem. I have many problems with that. That is not your problem though, it should be left to a mental health professional! I have issues with food and have realized in the last year that it is something that I never really knew I had before. I knew I had it, I just didn’t admit it. I’ve had physical health problems because of my diet/nutrition. I made changes temporarily but for some reason went right back to old habits within about a year or so. I am also starting to experience some of the very same symptoms that I had before, which is scary. So, it’s not an issue with Next Level it’s an issue with Amanda’s mental & physical health and emotional crap!
Sorry to have rambled on about all this. But you should know better than to send me a question about what I think of your program and offering comments. You asked for it! Maybe next time you will learn.
Seriously though, thanks for everything up to this point. I can’t believe I’ve done so much already. I’m excited to see what’s next.

The closer I got to 40, the more pounds I packed on. In 25 years, I gained 25 pounds and didn’t realize how much it was until I looked at a picture from my daughter’s graduation.
I went with a friend to a boot camp workout and was instantly hooked! The workouts are different, quick, and are scheduled to accommodate almost any schedule. It’s been 8 months and I’ve lost almost 30 and have gone from a size 12 to a size 6. My ‘muffin top,’ which was the size of a baker’s dozen, is almost non-existent and my ‘back boobs’ no longer need their own bra and are a thing of the past. I feel better about myself, have more energy and I’m in the best shape of my life!


I welcome the opportunity to let you know what Next level and boot camp has done for me. I was someone who was in pain most every day. I was walking and learned quickly that if I moved I hurt less. Not until I came to boot camp did I have the understanding I do about my body. I will admit when I started I had my doubts. Many days I asked myself what are you doing here? I now believe I have the answer it’s not about size for me or my measurements its about feeling better inside and out. I challenge myself every time I am here and I am always surprised at my ability. The confidence that succeeding gives you carries throughout your everyday life. So now when I have pain I know why and it’s a good pain, pain that lets me know I’m working hard and doing the best thing for my overall health and sanity. So I thank you and am grateful every time I walk through the door.

Joining Next Level is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself! During my first month, I lost 8 inches, 1 dress size and 5 pounds. Until June 2010, two things I have been able to do was gain weight and temporally lose weight. Being fit and healthy were not words used to describe me. My family suffered, I didn’t play with my kids like other parents. I did not want to go out in public where someone could see that I had gained 110 pounds since high school. I felt it was easier to be overweight then to do something about it.
On June 1, 2010 I walked into Next Level. Despite being someone who avoided “gyms,” Next level looked nothing like I expected. The first few workouts were hard but each time it got better. I was able to do more, have better form, and go heavier on the weights. I was following the nutrition plan and attending bootcamp on a regular basis (4-5 times a week average). In the first 12 weeks, I lost 25 pounds! Finally I was not just losing weight, I was getting healthy and I was getting fit!
Being overweight and walking into a fitness facility has its intimidation and fear factors. Will people wonder what I am doing there? Will I even be able to do the exercises? That intimidation and
fear went right out the window. Steve is wonderful, as he make me realize what I can achieve and how far I can push myself. Everyone at Next Level has been welcoming, no one has ever made me feel like I
should not be there or cannot do it. My fellow boot campers encourage me and support my achievements.
The last 11 months have been remarkable thanks to Steve and Next Level. I am in the best shape of my life, mentally and physically. I have gained an abundance of energy and ability. In March 2011, I completed my first 5K in fewer than 34 minutes. I have dropped over 5 pants size to be wearing a smaller size then in high school! I have gain confidence in what I can do and achieve. I have currently lost 65 pounds, but I know I will achieve my target goal weight. I will lose those last 30 pounds! For the first time in my life I am calling myself fit and healthy.

My experience at Next Level with Steve Krebs has been an amazing ride. I came to be part of the program through the Mohawk Valley’s Biggest Winner contest held in the summer of 2010. When I entered the contest I was very disgusted with not only my weight, but also my fitness level. I couldn’t go up one flight of stairs without becoming winded. My lower back was constantly going out of whack causing me great pain when I would bend over to pick up items off the floor. How depressing! Being only in my thirty’s I believed that this should not be happening.
Through the course of the summer some fantastic things began to happen. I found myself running up and down the stairs at work and not becoming winded at all. My lower back was feeling good and getting stronger everyday. I felt like I could conquer the world. The workouts at Next Level made me stronger and helped me feel much better about myself. Steve’s encouragement and zest for life kept my eye on the prize! A healthier life was at the end of the journey.
Now a year later, I have found that this healthier life will be a constant journey. It doesn’t really end and you have to keep going even if you fall off the path once in awhile. Steve has helped me focus my life and know that I can achieve my goals. His program has made me stronger than I have ever been in my life. I can swing a 40 pound kettle bell and make 200 rope waves without blinking an eye! But my favorite is picking up a 20 pound medicine ball and slamming it to the floor. Now there is a stress reliever.

My name is Marlene Tripoli I have been a member of Next Level for 14 months. I came across Steve when we were both getting our hair done. I overheard him talking & when he left I asked his hairdresser about the working out they were talking about. I was in a rut working out getting no results. She gave me Steve’s number & I called him. He was very personable & invited me to an orientation class. I was very nervous @ first, but knew I needed a change, so I started the next day. I was never so sore in my life!! But I listen to Steve telling us it will get better. By the end of the second week I wasn’t AS sore but hooked…He kept us motivated & with in just two weeks I felt better. I was very motivated the first few months & I felt stronger and good about myself. But I wasn’t focused, because then it was summer & it was hot & I didn’t come to class. I was slacking off a lot. So I was not getting results. After an unexpected trip I took to Florida this year, looking at pictures of myself & trying to fit into summer clothes so early in the year, I realized…It was all up to me.
Steve is a great guy, giving us Excellent Training. He provides each of us with all the tools we need to accomplish our goals. He is ex-tremly personable and is always looking for the best techniques to share with everyone, so we will All receive the up to date training, that is going to give us ultimate results. But he can’t do it for you. You have to want it for YOURSELF!! No one else but YOURSELF…once you realize this you will reach the goals you set.
Since March of 2011 after being @ next level for 10 months I changed my whole way of thinking & instead of making more excuses, I set a goal, focused on ME & began working toward my goals .
I come to class 4 to 5 days a week, I went on the grocery store tour and learned about the food I was eating and the do’s & don’ts. I have focused my mind, so now my body is working with me and helping me accomplish what I set out to do 14 months ago.
With in 3 months of changing my perspective and realizing what I wanted for ME I lost 10 inches overall & 12 lbs. I keep saying I wish more weight would come off…but my clothes feel better, I feel myself getting stronger & I look better with that my attitude about myself is changing. I am doing IT for Myself to be Healthy and once you are healthy, you ALWAYS look & feel better.

I’ve been coming to Next Level since June 1st, 2010. I was fortunate enough to be chosen for the Mohawk Valley’s Biggest Loser contest. That one decision has set me on a life-changing course, not only for me, but also for my children and husband.
I’m a 42-year old full-time working wife and mother of two beautiful little girls. Between work and family, there’s very little time for working out.
